Speed Dial Intermittent

Frequently, when I open the phone app from the home screen or if I'm in another app and attempt a speed dial, nothing happens. The speed dial number appears, but no dialing takes place. I then erase the speed dial number and retry. It always works the second time. It does not always do this. It's usually when I'm trying to dial after the phone is displaying the home screen or something else. Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

Am I the only one having this problem? It happens frequently and is very annoying. Running OS: 5.0.0.320

Ramjet, I have an S1 and had similar problems until I just held down my speed dial button until I got the familiar dialing sound. If you just push it like you are entering a number it will not respond. So try pushing your speed dial entry hard and hold it until it goes.

I've done that many times just to prove to myself that I was doing the right thing. I press it hard for several seconds. It (Storm 2) just won't respond. I hit the backspace button to erase the speed dial number and reenter it at which time it works - everytime.

I would call CS 800-922-0204 follow prompts to get to CS for BB Be sure you use the word Blackberry. Explain problem and if they cannot fix it for you then they should authorize you going to a VZW owned store and get another phone. These things happen I had a voice problem on my first storm. My wife kept telling me she couldn't hear me and it wasn't until my daughter told me I called CS. Be sure you call from another phone than the one you are calling about. They will probably have you backup your phone and then wipe it and re install OS.
