Sound Quality while talking on the Phone

I sound like I'm under water to a lot of people when talking on the phone. My friend also has the same issue with her LG G2. Is this a recurring problem? I am very frustrated with this.

I'm not sure a new device is going to solve this problem as my friend has the same problem with her phone.
