After the recent update, I cannot place a call or receive a call.

I have applied the recent update this morning and then received a voicemail indicator. I went to check my voicemail and cannot place the call. I have tried multiple times placing a call and then calling my cell from another phone. No luck. I have restarted it, put in airplane mode, removed airplane mode, turned off bluetooth, turned off wifi, still nothing. I now have a phone that cannot perform basic phone functions! Please help. Thank you.

I'm having the same issue. Also, none of my contacts will show up?! It keeps saying updating contact list but that's been that way for 3 hours now... so frustrating!!!!! I've been receiving texts though I just can't really tell who it's from unless I have the number memorized.

you have to setup vvm, I did it with customer service.

I updated my phone and I can't even get the screen to come up. Went to Verizon and they did a hard reset but still haven't issues. This is ridiculous.

Thank you. I did that and it worked. I didn't receive the notification to setup VM until about 4-6 hours later.

Phone turns on but the screen doesn't come up. I can't text, get to my contacts or anything. I already sent it out to Samsung for them to fix it.

My husband had the same problem with his s5 when it stopped receiving phone calls and he couldn't make phone calls, but he could still text a message. I went through Tech Support and they couldn't solve the problem. Finally Verizon agreed to replace the phone at no charge. We haven't had the phones but a few months.
