my s4 is not picking up wifi signals

I have to be 5 feet from the router to get a signal it was 10 feet. I went to the store and no help there. I have tried powering off the router hard reset on phone complete reboot and safe mode still no luck I have the same problem at work as at home.

It sounds like you have been through a lot, shaunkad. How long has this been going on? Did anything recently change to lead to this issue? Anyone else having the same issues with connecting to wifi?

It happened after all my apps updated around the time of Apples ios8. Yes I know this is not an Apple and it is the only device acting up.

I am currently removing all down loaded apps and disabling the others a few at a time.

I', sorry to hear that after the software update your iPhone isn't performing as it should. Apple has fixed the fiasco. Try these steps http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6487 .
