Motorola Razor - can you still activate an old one?

My dad is still using his old Motorola Razor (from at least 7 years ago), but it is about to give out on him. He really doesn't like the idea of getting a new model. Let's just say he is extremely old school. We have possibly tracked down a few gently used Verizon Razors, but I was wondering if it is even possible to still activate a phone that outdated, or what is necessary for a model that old to be activated today. Thanks for any input!

Of course he can. It works on Verizon's network he can activate it. In another 7 years that will probably be different.

Data may not work too well. The frequencies have changed quite a bit. V MAY even pull they cannot because they use micro sim cards that were not around at the time.

the data on that phone will work as well as it always has. Verizon still uses the same 3G and 1x frequencies they always have and will for several more years. Verizon 3G phones do not use SIM cards by the way. Verizon would not be selling basic phones on it's site still if had any intentions of getting rid of 3G and 1x anytime soon. Quit fear mongering.
