LG Revere2 keypad always staying on.

The keypad on my LG Revere2 is always staying on. One side is brighter than the other. I changed the settings from :stay on for 7 seconds" to "always stay off", and this didn't help. I took out the batter and put it back in to see if that would help, also didn't help. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I did try that and it didn't help. The keypad stays lit even when the phone is turned off.

This is my husband's phone and is only 11 months old. It is used very little. I did go to a Verizon store today and since it's still under warranty, they will replace it with a "pre-owned" one. I'm hoping this works out.
