so I cant unlock my phone cause it wont read my fingerprint how can I find out what my alternative password is
If you can't get the fingerprint scanner to work, you can't remember your alternative password, and you activated Android Device Manager on your phone and associated it with your Google account, then you may be able to use Android Device Manager to unlock your phone. Otherwise, you'll have to do a factory data reset (and all your data will be lost unless you've kept it backed up somewhere).
Where in Android Device Manager is the unlock option? My son just locked my phone and I'm down to one more try before it goes into factory reset. HELP!
