How do I connect to Verizon Wireless cellular network?

I just got a Note 3 and cannot figure out how to connect to my Verizon Wireless Cellular network. I'm connected to wi-fi at home, but when I leave I get the message that I'm not connected to a mobile network, but I've been unsuccessful in finding out how to do it. Help! Thank you.

Press the Menu key

Choose Settings

Look for More networks (tab view) or More settings (list view) and choose one

Choose Mobile networks

Place a checkmark on Mobile data
