wireless connection

I'm trying to watch a show online so i pause the show to give it time to load and by the time it has buffered I go to play it and it says connect - dormant. and from there i can never get the internet to work without dissconnecting and then reconnecting. I will get up to get something to drink come back and it will be dormant again. Does anyone know how to prevent it from going dormant or stop it completely?

The only way is to not pause it.

Make sure your computer is not going into hibernation mode, hibernation mode can sometimes interrupt or disconnect the internet signal, change the configuration for sleep or hibernation mode for your device, hope that helps.

To keep the session alive, you can try the following:
Start> Run> type "cmd" without the quote
Type: ping www.google.com -t -i 1
-t will ping continuously until you force it to stop (close the window or ctrl-c)
-i 1 sets the "time to live" to 1 hop so as to not congest the network with pings

Each ping is 32 bytes, that'll add up so watch your usage.
