Getting pictures off AX5000a (Alltel)

I have an LG AX5000a (was on Alltel before they got bought). I am trying to get the pictures off of it. I tried buying a data cable that was for the AX5000 thinking it would be identical, but it didn't work, didn't even charge.

If I am able to find a charger, would I be able to put activate the phone on my smartphone line temporarily, send the pictures as MMS, and then re-activate my smartphone?

Hi xdrummerxboy - We certainly want you to be able to preserve those precious memories. I apologize as we are no longer able to activate this device on the network. The device does not have a native USB transfer process to move the pictures to a computer.

So that means I will not ever be able to get the pictures of the phone?

I googled and many have asked about doing that with this model and no one has accomplished it so I guess not. Mary
