Voice Mail Notifacation.

How do I get rid of the Voice mail notification? I have been getting this notification for more than 2 weeks now. Everytime I try to update my voice mail through the verizon app it says,"Your Visual Voice Mail device is being activated. Please wait five minutes before opening the Voice Mail app again". But the update never happens. Can anyone please help me solve this

Have you gone into your My Verizon site online and removed the basic voice and then setup a Visual Voice mail account ? Remove the account you don't want and add what you do want. Then do a soft reset of the phone and try again.
