New Galaxy S5 using data instead of wifi

New Galaxy S5 is using data instead of wifi at home. The phone shows that it's connected to wifi and I checked the settings and they are set to wifi. Used my entire 2 GB of data in 5 days. Looking at the usage detail, it's showing data usage at times when I am at home connected to wifi. Help!

Hi sske - We certainly want to make sure that your phone is registering data connections properly. Is this happening on different routers/ WiFi networks or just at home? Have you tried forgetting the network and readding it? In Settings>WiFi>Advanced, turn "Auto network switch" to Off. I am eager to get to the bottom of this!

You can also turn off the cellular data connection when you expect to be connected to a wifi connection while at home.

Have seen a lot of people complaining after the update 4g remains on at the same time as wifi no matter what and eating up their data. Not having that issue myself. Mary

It did with me and hurt data & battery life so I did a soft reset and it's back to normal.
