when I send an email, it stays in my outbox. Has anyone had this problem?, need help

I am having trouble sending emails, they stay in my outbox. Can anyone help?

Hi there, dealisland1! I'm very sorry about your email issue. Let's get right to fixing it! First, I recommend deleting that email account and then re-adding it. To delete an email account, to to Settings> Email> Account settings> tap the name of your email account, then tap menu (the three vertical dots)> select Remove account.
