How do I downgrade to 4.2.2 the 4.4 has destroyed bluetooth email capability making this phone useless

With the 4.4.4 "upgrade" Bluetooth will no longer send emails to my car. It would appear from several forums I have read that reverting back to 4.2.2 will fix this (along with many other shortcomings of 4.4.4) but it appears that Verizon does not have a mechanism to downgrade.

No, you can't revert back to the previous software version. The manufacturer has written the code to prevent going back to the older version of the OS.
