Can I stop message notifications from appearing on the lock screen?

How can I stop my messages, as well as my missed calls, from showing up on the lock screen of my MAXX?

We want you to setup the phone the way you need it, Brettrivera4! Upon further review of the device settings it does not appear to be an option to turn off notification on the lock screen.
