caller id

i am having trouble getting my caller id to display the name of the caller and their contact photo? when i receive a call it just says wireless caller and gives me the phone number? but when I go to my recent call log it shows the contacts name and display photo? what is the problem?

I had that happen to me a couple times on android a while back, I had to go under contacts and made sure I imported them under the settings to get them to appear back everywhere as I had backed them up to the memory card and another place. Since you can see them elsewhere on your phone that's good! Under your settings and contacts do you see import options?

what phone did you have when this problem occurred?

It happened once on a Motorola Droid max and once on a Samsung Galaxy S3 for me

interesting because I had a Motorola droid ultra before my s5 and this problem never occured
