Where I work, the outgoing server uses TLS security setting instead of SSL. It would appear that the X does not like this and won't let me send any emails from it. Any work arounds for this would be greatly appreciated.
Try this, Change the server to mail.MCHSI.com and restart the phone.
Let me know if it works for you!
I am having the same problem with one of my email accounts. I can recieve email just fine, but I am unable to send because the Outgoing server uses TLS. There should be an option to change to TLS. I have tried changing the outgoing mail server to mail.MCHSI.com, and rebooted the phone but as I expected it did not work. I also tried going through some local isp's that allow relay. Any other input or suggested fix on this would be great.
Any updates with changing the IMAP SSL setting to TLS?
I am having problems sending email with my @verizon.net account, they sit in the outgiong mail and dont send for a while. It did finally send but took a while. Do I need to change something.
Thanks Tony
I have the same problem. My work email uses TLS for it's outgoing server so none of my messages get sent. I downloaded an app called MailDriod and it was easy to setup and it allows for TLS based outgoing servers. My emails are sent just fine using this app. The problem seems to be a bug in the Driod X email client. luckily there are other choices.
