Lock Screen Weather Location

I am guessing this was an issue that came up as a result of the Lollipop install but in truth I didn't pay much attention to it as it was something that was just "there."

On the lock screen, the time and date are being properly displayed but the weather indicator is going to a different location; specifically to the location where my family lives in South Carolina; I am in Maryland. I went into the Lock Screen Weather setting and changed the setting to "current location," then went around and removed the South Carolna reference anywhere I could locate but the weather on the lock screen is STILL coming up for South Carolina.

Anyone know how I can get this thing to reset itself for my current location os somehow force a location?

instead of selecting 'current location', try putting in a specific zip code or city. it's worth a try

Morning...

That was a thought as I was trying to sepcify the location but the setting doesn't allow for entry. It is just a "current location" on/off selctor.

As an aside, I can't get "Weather Notifications" to come up either; it is grayed out.

That certainly is an odd issue to have. Do you use your GPS location services, besides for weather? If so, do you notice it locating you incorrectly? Have you tried a different weather app, to see if this is limited to what you have now?

Morning...I downloaded two other weather apps and both had no problem pickling up my location; problem is, they only work by touch as a widget and aren't automatic like the installed lock screen app originally installed.

If and when I get time I am going to stop by a Verizon store and see if they have any ideas and will add them here. From what I am seeing in other areas, the Lollipop update seems to be causing a host of other issues that I am also seeing intermittently. This reminds me when the Android OS updated the last time; fortunately I was within my timeframe as I had to get a new phoine since the other one was so badly mangled by the update. Here we go again......
