In my Galaxy S4, i have android 4.4.2, when I am trying to update getting message - Software update is temporarily unavailable. Try again later. How can i update to latest os?
This is actually a blessing in disguise. You have an opportunity to try to upgrade successfully and maybe avoid problems others have had. I use a process that has worked for some and works for me. This should allow you to start fresh and clean and be able to update again and result in much fewer upgrade-related issues other are reporting.
Plug into charger for the entire process
(DISABLE google backup and restore of apps and app data)
Charge to 100% and back up and factory reset the phone
Install update
Factory reset one more time
Unplug from charger
Set up your phone
Leave phone on until it dies and turns off 1 time
Leave off and recharge to 100%
This is my usual process and I have had no issues.

If you tried my suggestion and the Rep's suggestion, you might try a Best Buy Samsung Experience in most Bet Buy stores. They will do what I suggested and try to reflash your phone perhaps.
After reading all the problems with recent system updates, why do you want to update yours? Lollipop has screwed up so many devices, why would anyone want it? Read the S5 community posts about all the issues it caused users. I have been delaying updates on my S4 since last fall. The update problems started with NG6 and have continued up to and including Lollipop. I've had many Samsung phones, but after all the issues with the phones now, including widespread network connectivity problems with the S6, I'm looking at other options for me next upgrade.
