Why is VERIZON trying to take over my Texting App? don't want it.....never have used it and NOW a message........Press here to make Verizon your Default SMS App.............AND it has disabled sending............
Just go to the phone settings and make your other messenger app, if you have one, the default app, or open it and it should ask you to make it default. Uninstall or disable the Verizon app.
If you want to change your default messaging app go into:
Settings>Applications>Default Applications>Messages and then select the app you want to use.

What were you doing at the time this happened? I know on my phone if I go to open a song/picture etc. It always asks which application I want to use to complete the action. Perhaps you selected something and that option came up and you accidentally selected to use Message+
Hopefully now that it's been fixed it won't happen again, but if it does you know where to change it.
