Crashing camera and other issues

Ok. After updating to lolipop my phone's (S5) battery needs charging 2 times a day, if i use phone longer than a couple of mins it becomes hot! (Both the back and the screen) , i need to restart my phone every single day (sometimes even more often) due to camera failure.

Is there any way to fix all this??

Do you have google now voice activation turned on? Turn it off and test.

Those are certainly unwanted side effects of the update, kukumaku. What exactly happens with your camera? Are you using any 3rd party camera applications (Instagram for example)? A bit more battery use is normal when the phone is updated since many applications have not been updated to work smoothly with Lollipop yet. The phone works harder to get the applications working, and may even result in it becoming warmer. It certainly shouldn't be extremely hot though, so bring it into a local Verizon store www.vzw.com/storelocator if it is unbearably hot. You can also go into Google's Play Store and check for updates to all of your applications to help it run smoother and avoid the drain.

My camera is not responding. Once I decide to make a picture, I open the camera app and i see just black background istead of the image where I am pointing my camera. and i cant switch the camera to. Seconds later i get a message camera has stopped or not responding. And nothing changes until i restart my phone. After restarting everything is ok for about half day, then again the same. And my phone is up to date.

Shut down your camera app and clear your system cache and then try your camera again.

I have the g3. After the recent updates my camera also began crashing. Nearly a week of resets and messing with settings I finally had given up.

I eventually did one last reset. Uninstalling all aftermarket apps and only using the base programs.

Camera worked again.

Updated just the stock and verizon apps.

Camera began crashing again.

Disabled nonessential apps one at a time.

My phones problem is a conflict with the new message+ app. After disabling that stock verizon app, everything on my LG g3 functions correctly.
