Data Recovery???

Question

My son reset my LG G2 and I didn't have a back up for all my photos and videos. I have tried numerous data recovery apps but none work because this model does not have a USB Mass Storage option, and I refuse to root my phone as I am afraid to permanently damage it. There has to be a way for me to recover my data, please help!!! These are all the photos of my son since his birth, I cannot lose these memories. There has to be something, PLEASE!!!!

If the phone was reset then all is lost.  The phone DOES have a MTP mode which is mass storage.  If nothing is there (Should be nothing if factory reset) then unless you backed up[ to a cloud service prior, they are gone.
