my email stopped working?

I am totally at wits end. My Samsung 4 email app just stopped working 2 weeks ago. It "says" it is syncing email but all it does is spin at the bottom of the phone screen. I have gone thru the settings multiple times and checked them....they come back as correct but still I cant get email? The last thing I had done 2 weeks ago was to delete lots of old emails (1000s) which took some time. But, following that process I cannot get email. I am using the email app that was on the phone when I got it. I also have the Yahoo app which is where my account is but that is very glitchy and I hate it. HELP!!!!

Oh no! We definitely want your device up and running and working the way you need it. Are you only having troubles with this one specific email account or are others having trouble as well? Are you able to access data on the device? Has the specific email account ever worked on the device? If all else is working then it definitely sounds like it would be specific to the email settings on the device or with your provider. Have you consulted with Yahoo! support to ensure that you do indeed have the correct settings? We can also attempt to remove the account completely from the device and re-adding it.
