Not that this answers your question, but it might help... Have you tried the Windows Phone Recovery Tool? I did that for my Icon last weekend just for kicks and am glad I did. Latest Firmware and OS all in one swoop without update on top of update. Noticed a couple of new things as well as an even smoother operation. Looking forward to Windows 10, too!
