I have a strange problem (aren't all problems strange). I recently purchased a Uniden Wireless Home Phone System with Bluetooth capability. That means that if my Verizon Samsung S4 cell phone rings and it is located in a different part of the house (like in the charging station), the Uniden will be able to answer it and talk through it. Additionally, the Uniden has the ability to place a call over the Verizon network. What is happening is that the Verizon is "connected" to the Uniden, the phone is answered when it rings, but audio is not transmitted over the bluetooth connection. My Verizon is using the latest version of the Android OS, 4.4.2.
The puzzling thing is that my wife has the same phone, S4 with the same OS, and it works perfectly.
Additionally, The Uniden has a led which lights when it is connected to the cell phone. When I walk into the house from outside, it often takes more that 30 minutes to light up as connected. When my wife walks into the house, the connection light shows immediately.
I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth to no avail. I am not inclined to do a hard reset because that will wipe out everything and require hours of work to get things back to the way I want it.
