Notification Sounds/multiple pictures

Is there any way at all to get separate notification sounds for emails, facebook and text messages?  This is the one thing I am not liking about this phone.  I have YET to hear a notification sound that I put in for a notification even though there are messages. 

 

Also I had pictures for contacts.  now I have multiple pictures once I added them to their contact (these are pictures I took not FB pics) why is that?

If you go to Settings >Sound & display settings, you will see "Notification ringtone" which allows you to set your DEFAULT tone. This will also be the tone you'll hear when the unlock screen is engaged, when the device is powering, when it's connected to your computer, etc. You can set an alternate notification tone within the applications themselves. For messaging, press the menu key and select Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see "Notification settings > "Select ringtone," and select the type of notification you'll want to hear when you receive a txt message. You can also do the same thing by going into your Gmail and Email. Just make sure that the Email notifications box is checked.
