I bought a Blackberry Bold 9930 on ebay which is a verizon which upon arriving has now a network but i cant access the BIS on Mtn zambia, When i contacted the seller in the states he told me that i should just contact Verizon and they would activate

I bought a BB9930 from ebay which is branded Verizon, from its arrival it cant connect to the BIS and when i contacted the seller he advised that i contact Verizon and they would activate it for me. I'm connected to MTN Zambia. Can anyone out their Help?

Verizon has no way to "activate" the BIS.
I take it your not in the USA, and with a Verizon device on another carriers network is never guaranteed to have full functionality. you may be able to talk and text. Blackberry may be the better place to look to find an answer to you issue.
