galaxy s5 and lollipop don't mix

After updating on Wednesday to lollipop it has turned my phone into a nightmare. Battery drains 4% in 20 minutes just sitting with nothing on. Everything is glitchy and jumpy. It never ever had a problem until I updated. I'm disgusted I updated it. It's not damaged and it never did this before the update. Everything I try to do is 10x slower except battery drain. It says ios is taking 19% of my battery life. I can't get away from a charger now. Please fix this crap of an update

Factory reset the phone and clear the cache

Does it really work? I don't want to loose everything on my phone and it not fix it. Nothing seems to be helping anyone else with similar issues

cleared the cashe and doesn't feel as bad but time will tell

my download/install of 5.0 was fine & i'm having "0" issues.

I'm having lots of issues as well. Battery life is really bad and phone overheats. Constantly scanning WiFi even when connected. Heat rate light goes on whenever the phone is active and something is near it and someone's the keyboard can't decide whether or not it wants to auto space. I spoke with Verizon support and was told the new bad battery life was normal and that the remaining problems should go away once the new OS settles. Sounds like they just don't have any useful answers right now.

Clearing the cache has definitely helped. Not perfect but definitely more usable.

One thing that helped was deleting facebook messenge. For some reason not even using it was consuming roughly 39% of my battery
