Issues with bluetooth headset and reading messages out loud.

My old Samsung Galaxy S4 when using a Bluetooth headset and ask it to read out messages it would read the messages out loud over the Bluetooth. When I ask the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to read out messages it shows it on the screen, but does not read it a loud. New incoming messages are read a loud. Is there a way to read out loud when I request it like Samsung Galaxy S4 did?

This is a great question gpeterden! I have checked my resources and I am unable to locate anything indicating that this readout over Bluetooth is a feature of the Note 4. You may want to consider searching for a third party application to accomplish this.

Look at Touchless Notifications Pro it is a pay app but is awesome at reading out all notifications (or those of your choosing) via bluetooth.

It may have been an app provided by the bluetooth headset manufacturer installed on the S4 that read out for you?
