It seems as though the mute button is stuck or broken. I can not access the phone at all. It is locked (muted/standby/whatever you call it) and I can not undo that. Help.

Hi,
Remove the back cover and pull the battery out for about 10 seconds. Then reinsert the battery and allow the device to reboot. It should be back to normal.

I did. I even took it out again and left it out for about 30 minutes and rebooted. Still did not work.
If you have a pair of headphones that will plug into your device, try plugging in a set to see if it works. Then unplug the headphones and see if that unsticks it. Also, pressing the Q button might toggle the mute function.
Nothing worked. Thanks for trying. I will take it to the store today.
