How do I receive responses from group messages?

I just got the phone 4 days ago and have several group messages I started and everyone says they have received the messages and some have replied back, but I have not received anything back within the group message so I am missing texts, why is this happening and how do I make it work properly?

RagTag23, congratulations on your upgrade to this new device! We're so excited for you. Make sure that you are connected to our network when sending and recieving group messages. Please be advised that group messaging will not work if cellular data is disabled in Settings when you're connected to Wi-Fi. Keep us posted.
