Galaxy S6 Edge text messages also being sent to inbox

when I am receiving text messages to my mew galaxy s6 esge, the messages appear in my messages and a copy is also being put into the inbox of my email account setup on the phone. How do I prevent the text from appearing in my email also?

Open your email app, then choose your email account. Once you have your inbox open, use the menu button to open settings. When you scroll down you'll find sync options at the bottom. Uncheck the sms option

When I opened the email settings from the Inbox Menu, there is no sync option to select. I also went into Exchange Server settings, but the sync messages option was not available to change.

I ended up having to remove the account, and then adding it back in again, ensuring 'Sync Messages' option was not selected.

Here's how to turn off the text message sync setting with email:

Select Settings.
Select Applications,
Select Email under Application Settings.
Select your Exchange account [removed] under Accounts in Email Settings.
Under Exchange ActiveSync Settings, find the Sync Message setting, and Turn it Off.

You can also get to Email Settings by clicking MORE → Settings in your Exchange Email program
