Seriously? KIN One and Two..

Here is just a list of what I think about this phone.

Thing ONE and Thing Two.. :smileyvery-happy:

The OS I saw from video's.

A: Not bad

2.4 in QVGA

A: No thanks

3.5 in 480x320

A: SWEET last year

4 and 8 gig internal storage

A: Totally ridiculous. Upload my pics and video's to Bill Gates server and leave me no room for music and movies.

5.0 MP camera

A: sure sure thanks

8.0 MP camera 720p Vid

A: The only attractive thing about this phone and soon all phones will have it.

If windows main objective was to market a phone to young people and buy an entry level phone for some spoiled brat always on the computer with earbuds in than good luck. This phone is way too advanced for a 12 year old to fully benefit from the overall usage of the OS.

If windows wants me to buy this phone I hope they can do better than small internal storage and 15 minute social media application updates. Oh I guess I can hit a button to manually receive new messages. I suppose if I hit "refresh" every ten seconds I can pull that off 90 times in 15 min. Thats really convenient.

This is obviously not a business phone...

Who is this phone marketed for?

I am so confused.

I believe this is marketed toward 18- to 30-year-olds, and the Kin Web site does a pretty good job at doing so. I think teens and early 20-somethings will want this phone. It's obviously not intended to be a business device in any way.

This phone is targeted to customers, that spends majority of their time on their social media accounts. Customers that share photos and videos often with their social media friends. (you can upload photos and videos wirelessly at the click of 1 button. Customers that are large on texting. For more information on the Kin device you can visit these sites

I am probably in their target demo. Unfortunatly I am pretty heavily invested in google: gmail, gchat, docs, voice... I want to try windows phone 7 but I probably won't be able to unplug from the google matrix anytime soon.

If it had calendar support for Exchange, I would go ahead and do a phone upgrade and not wait for Windows Mobile 7. it can already do Exchange e-mail and contacts. But, since it has no calendar support, I will continue to wait. I really like the spot feature from watching the video demos. Looks like a cool phone. But I need my calendar.

But whats the point of a social media phone that takes 15 minutes to update? In this fast paced world of NOW NOW NOW this phone won't work for the die-hard Twitterers, Facebooks, Lives, and so on.

If the demand for this fast paced life didn't exist than this phone wouldn't even exist.
