Why can't I send pix with my Galaxy S4?

My old flip phone was great. I could take a picture and send it in a message very easily. But with my brand new Galaxy S4, every time I try to send an MMS, I get a message telling me message send failed, and that the service is not set up on the network.

Mobile data is on.

Network mode is set to LTE/CDMA

Rebooting does nothing

Under Access Point Names, the only thing listed is Verizon Internet (VZWINTERNET), and Multimedia Message Proxy and Port (and pretty much everything else) are Not Set.

The only thing I can edit on this APN is the name of the network. All of the other options are greyed out.

I also cannot add an APN, which many online forums recommend you must do to fix this widespread problem.

What do I have to do to be able to send pix messages?

Have you checked your on-line My Verizon account or called Customer Service to ensure that you don't have a picture message block on your line?

Thanks for the suggestion. Oddly, Verizon seems to have set my More Everything Plan to block MMS, which seems like a profoundly stupid default. I certainly did not check that box. With your suggestion, I unblocked MMS. However, I am still unable to send MMS. When I try, I get the same message about message send failing, and "service is not set up on the network." And the APN remains the same -- not set up for MMS and all options (except changing the default name for the original APN) are greyed out.

Call Verizon and talk to them I have run across another person on the forums recently that switched from an older phone to a new smartphone and Verizon didn't setup the account properly and they couldn't text either.
