My phone shuts off ... black screen, does not respond to touching the screen, pressing the power button, nothing. I have to remove the battery and re-seat the battery, then power up the phone. Any ideas?
Nknowles--the same thing just happened to my phone. Worked ok this morning. It was charged up. First time this has happened to mine. Thanks for the information. I took the battery out and put it back in and then it started right up.
Frustrating. This used to happen to my Motorola phone. Which is part of the reason I switched to Samsung. the reset for the Motorola was to hold the power button and volume buttons down at the same time. Didn't have to take the battery out.
This phone isn't even a year old!
Mine isn't a year old either. But I wound up taking my Otterbox off of it because I'm having to take the battery out so often. I was really happy with my S3. Should have stuck with it instead of upgrading I guess.
My phone has started to do this the last few days. I took it in to Verizon, and they did a soft boot. Remove the battery for a couple of minutes and put it back in. Then told me if it continues, take it back in and I will need to get a replacement.
