I don't want it to auto cap anything. Is it even possible to disable?
I'm sorry to learn you're having problems locating the phone Keyboard settings. I understand there's certain features on the phone you'd like, and in this case, don't like. Do you mean it caps the entire word or just the first letter of the word after a period? You can adjust keyboard from available entry modes in Message>Left Soft Key>Entry Mode.
