if you're using a usb connection, try a wall charger, if a wall charger, try another charger.
are you using the charging cable that came with the phone??
Since Verizon and/or Samsung act as if they cannot resolve these problems that the new updates are causing on everyone's phones, we should start a Class Action Law Suit. I guarantee that will open their eyes.

I've been able to use my phone fully for a good 3 weeks this year thanks to the update. 3 Phones later the issues still are not solved.
Verizon- will not get me a working phone.
Verizon- will not let me out of my contract so I can get a working phone.
Verizon- will not suspend my number and billing until the issue is resolved.
Verizon Live chat- Lied to me
Verizon Phone Support- basically told me to suck it up.
Verizon Facebook Support- is useless and never answer even after you do what they want.
