how do i get my calendar on my phone to sync with google calendar? is there another app i would need to download?
In the calendar settings on your phone, make sure the Google calendar is the default calendar. Also, the setting for which calendars to display, just turn off the phone calendar as one of the options. Anything saved to the phone calendar will not sync with Google. I don't understand why they put this as one of the options when they don't allow it to sync with other calendars.
The events created on the phone need to be saved in the Gmail account calendar. You also need to turn on the sync with the Gmail calendar.
