Just upgraded to Samsung 6 edge form Samsung S4...when tyr to use Mobile HotSpot receive msg unable to connect data connection unavailable. What is missing?
Did you use the feature on your S4? I'm assuming so but wanted to be sure. The main thing is having the feature if your not on a MORE Everything plan. If you have the feature or are on a MORE Everything plan I'd suggest you power cycle the phone.
I am on a plan where the feature is free and it worked on one of the phones, but for some reason was blocked on the other phone. I did a quick chat session with Verizon and they unblocked the feature. Chat session took maybe 10 minutes and within 5 minutes of it ending, the hotspot worked.
I did use it on the S4....and yes I do have "MORE" plan....by cycle down phone I presuem you mean power off and power on?

Correct, I know this sometimes works. Any luck on a resolution? It is best like MiiHere said to make sure there is no block on the account. I would def suggest a quick chat session to make sure of it. MORE Everything plans should have the mobile hot spot feature turned on by default.
When I asked the Verizon rep why there was a block, even though the feature is free, they couldn't say. Just that sometimes when you get a new device, or upgrade, switch etc. it just sometimes will automatically block it.
