How can I change the grid display for "Favorites" in Contacts?

Is there ANY way to change the display settings for my "Favorites" in Contacts? I want my "Favorites" displayed in a list format. I hate the new grid appearance that came with the Lollipop update! I liked the swipe left to message, swipe right to call option! (To be clear, I hate the entire "upgrade" but at the moment that is the worst part)

Yeah, this is a pretty dumb change. Why should the Favorites be less functional than the main Contacts list? Or even the "Frequently contacted" list below the Favorites grid? In both of those you can swipe left or right to text or call. But in the Favorites grid, if you just tap on an entry it automatically starts dialing a call, which is likely to lead to accidental calls IMO. You have to tap on the eensy-beensy i icon to get a pop-up where you can text. And in the grid view, full names don't show, unless the name is like Bob Lee or something that short. A fail overall.

So, ahem, to actually answer your question, I can't find any way to change from grid to list view for the Favorites. Wish I could.
