Blackberry GPS
questioner
My employer provides me with a blackberry curve. They want me to use it as my personal phone so I'm available for emergencies. If I turn the GPS Services tab to "Location On", is there any way that they can track my location through the gps? I don't know if they do it now during the week but I don't want them to be able to track me on my own time. Would having "Location On" turned on let them track me?

As far as I know being tracked can only be used by authorities unless you agree (i.e. field force manager). Location ON does send localized information about where you are to/from the network but is application controled. So no "location on" has no impact on whether or not your company can track you, if at all.
