Can I activate a Lumia 822 with a SIM card from a Galaxy S4?

My current phone is a galaxy S4, it has a broken LCD and I cannot afford to go without a phone. I plan on buying a refurbished nokia lumia 822 windows phone and using it until my next upgrade, is it possible for me to just switch the SIM card from my broken phone to the nokia lumia and how would I go about activating it?

As long as you go to a corporate store, the SIM card should be free of charge.
