Simply put, I've never had a smartphone before, as I never felt a need for one, but I'm planning to get one soon for development purposes. Thus, I'll be getting an unlocked phone.
I'm interested in getting an unlocked LG G2 online, thus it won't come with a SIM card. I have decided, however, if I do like the phone better than the basic cellphone I have now, I may make this phone my primary phone in the future. The only thing keeping me from buying at this point is the reassurance that I will be able to use this phone as a casual phone later on.
If this phone that I get is a Verizon brand LG G2, is it possible to get a Verizon SIM card and activate it later? Any help in understanding how SIM cards work is much appreciated.
