I tried to make a call and I get a message that the phone won't authenticate, I have only had it for a week.
I have the same phone but haven't run into that issue, usually caused by software issues so make sure your software via Samsung on the phone is up to date. Sometimes it can also be the SIM card, removing and re-installing it then booting it back up can fix the issue. If all else fails, give Verizon a call and they can get you back up and running.
Make sure your cellular data is enabled if using Advanced Calling in Settings which allows calls over the 4G network. Turn on Wifi Calling as well....only the new S6's have this capability so far and I love it!!
