Wireless Connection shuts down when USB is connected.

Can anyone tell me why the wireless shuts down when the USB is connected.  I was hoping to charge the MiFi using the USB.  Also, this would avoid the need for a wireless card for my desktop PC if I could access the broadband service through the USB at the same time we're using the wireless for the laptop connection.

I asked Verizon about that before I bought the mifi, and that's what they said. You can either use the USB for internet or the wireless. In other words, you cannot use both at the same time. 

 

So your desktop will have to connect to the mifi and to the internet, by wireless; if you want to use more than one computer at a time.
