no black berry messenger or email in Hong kong

Hi,

I am in Hong Kong with my blackberry storm, the email and BB messenger is not working, the phone portion appears to be working fine.  Prior to coming to Hong Kong, I was in Japan and everything seemed to be working fine.  I was told before coming to Asia from California that it should work fine in Hong Kong, Japan and China with my global plan.  I just called verizon long distance on the land line but they are closed.  Please advise what I can do to get the data portion of my phone working???

Hi,

Did you go into the Options and change the data from 1XEV to Global?  If it is not, set it to global and pull the battery and allow it to reboot.  If that doesn't work, then you need to call customer service.
