How do I retrieve lost info that was in my 'Contacts'?

I just discovered that info that I added in several of my individual 'contacts'...in the 'notes' section...has apparently been deleted. In the individual 'contacts', only the 1st line of info I typed shows up in 'notes', the remaining info has disappeared. How do I retrieve this lost information?

That is very odd that this happened, southoakgals. I have read that some phones may have a limitation on the amount of characters the Notes field can have. Does this happen with all contacts? What if you delete and create a new contact but save it as a Gmail contact? How long does it take for the character reduction to take place?

I just found the same issue with my contacts notes being truncated. No one at Verizon is able to help and Google does not have any way to contact them to discuss. All of my notes were there last week and now I'm overseas so they're wondering if it has to do with that. I don't think that makes sense because this is my third trip here this year and I'm just now having this problem. Did you ever find a solution?
