Samsung G5 freezes up Subaru info system after update to G900VVRU2BOG5

Since the installation of G900VVRU2BOG5 on my Galaxy5, my Subaru information/audio/satellite system freezes up once the phone connects via blue tooth. I have had the vehicle for about a year (a 2015 model) and up until I installed the subject update, everything was fine.

Any suggestions on a setting that I can change on the phone to get my phone & car to get along again?

Any suggestions on how to go back a level on the phone software version?

The phone had worked fine and there had been no conflict with the car's system until the update.  I unpaired & re-paired a number of times prior to my post.  Since that time I have discovered a workaround that may help others until the next software "upgrade" comes out.

Do not enable your bluetooth on your phone until after you start your car and allow the audio system to go through its start up.  If I enter the car with the bluetooth on, the car's info/audio system will freeze once it connects to the phone.  If I wait until after starting the car and give it a moment or two before I enable the phone's bluetooth, all works well and the car's system does not freeze.
