Rearrange apps

I have an S6 Edge, and I'm trying to rearrange my apps to possibly create folders. Everytime I press and hold an app it automatically brings me to the home screen. I would like for my apps to stay in the application section just rearrange them. Edit only gives me the option to delete, and then there's A-Z.

By default, the apps in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Apps screen are sorted based on time of installation. Newly installed apps appear in the last spots.

You can organize the app icons in your own way by manually moving them to the desired spot in the Samsung S6 Apps screen.

On the Samsung Galaxy S6 Apps screen, tap Edit near the top right, then tap and hold an item and drag it to a new location.

If you want to move an app to another panel, drag it to the side of the screen panel.

Folders are only available on the home and other screens, not in the app drawer. The app drawer allows you to organize alphabetically or by time of installation. If you really want or need to arrange them in folders, it will be on the home screens - fill one with the folders you need and add the apps to the appropriate folders.

The app drawer itself does not allow folders, at least with the stock layout. An app launcher or other app may be available that will allow you to rearrange the app drawer to your liking.

Actually, you can create folders within the app drawer on the S6. Go into the app drawer and tap edit. Then simply drag an app onto another and you will have your folder. Repeat until you're finished.

No problem I saw they had a couple preset folders when I bought mine so I had to play with it to figure it out. I like using it to put apps I don't use out of sight if I can't uninstall or disable.
