A few weeks ago I posted describing a problem where I'd lose access to data multiple times per day, and the only remedy was to reboot the phone. The 3G or 4G/LTE icon would grey out, then blink white every 5 seconds along with both the upload / download arrows, then go gray again.
Since the "Stagefright" update to Lollipop about a month ago, the behavior has completely changed. I still lose access to data, but not nearly as often. Maybe 2-3 times a week, which is *ALMOST* tolerable.
Now the 3G or 4G/LTE icon stays white, but none of the apps can access data. The "My Verizon Mobile" app pops up an error and recommends rebooting the phone. After rebooting the phone all is well, and it works for a few days.
When a change in software causes a change in behavior, I know that this is NOT a hardware problem!
I really wish I could go back to Jellybean, because the problem didn't exist there.
